Economy Plus (Eco+) measures how many runs a bowler saved — or conceded — compared to what was expected given when they bowled in the innings.
Expected Economy
Every ball in a T20 innings has a different expected run rate. A ball in the powerplay is expected to cost more than one in the middle overs.
Eco+ Formula
For each ball bowled, we compare actual runs conceded vs the expected. The total difference across all balls gives a bowler's Eco+ score.
Eco+ = Σ (Expected Runs − Actual Runs)
Interpreting It
Expected runs per over at each stage of the innings based on historical IPL data.
Expected runs from each ball within a specific over.
